What is Halbstark Week and why do we do it?
What is Halbstark Week all about? The name already gives it away, but here's the explanation: it's our special time to take a break from our daily work hustle and bustle and focus on Halbstark and having fun together. This year, the whole thing took place in beautiful Austria again.
Why are we doing this? At Halbstark , we believe that great ideas happen when we work together. That's why we get together, brainstorm and develop great ideas to make our team and our projects even better!
What were our goals?
Our main goals this year were clear: to optimize our processes, expand our toolset and keep the energy and creativity of our team at a high level. With all the growth and fresh talent joining Halbstark , it was the perfect time to come together and think about how we can work smarter, stay innovative and make sure we're all heading in the same direction. In short, we wanted to build on our strengths, sharpen our tools and maintain our momentum!
Company Updates
Our busy schedule included a lot of sharing on how we can improve internal communication, our marketing strategies and project workflows. We also looked at our weekly meetings to ensure that they are not only efficient, but also create an enjoyable and collaborative atmosphere for everyone.
We also split up into smaller teams to take a closer look at our internal processes and find out how we can optimize them. Each team focused on its own area - whether it was to improve workflows or simplify task management. We then came back together to look at the bigger picture: How can we improve communication between departments? Together, we looked for ways to strengthen collaboration and ensure that everyone is on the same page to make operations smoother overall.
We also gathered ideas on how we can improve communication with our customers and explored exciting new business opportunities for Halbstark . The days were full of inspiration and left us with new motivation!
Activities
After a day of brainstorming and strategizing, it was time for fun and relaxation in the evening. In the evening, we ended the day with a magical shooting star night and made a wish as we sat back and gazed at the beautiful night sky. And that was just the beginning! We had a fun round of mini golf, refreshed ourselves in the outdoor pool and had fun playing beach volleyball.
We also decided to add some Zen to our morning routine. That's right - we bent, stretched and occasionally swayed slightly during a morning yoga session together. Picture this: colleagues still half-asleep, doing the Downward-Facing Dog pose while trying to keep their balance and not burst out laughing. Spoiler: Most of the time, the laughs win!
Another highlight? Surviving the slides in the mountains! First of all, we had to conquer these wild tube slides. Imagine racing down the mountain in big tubes, trying to stay cool and not scream like little kids on a rollercoaster. Some of us did well, others... well, not so much.
And it went even further! After the slides, we went on a super-fast summer toboggan run. The team raced down the hill, hair in the wind, sometimes a little wobbly in the bends. It was a mixture of adrenaline, laughter and "that just really happened, didn't it?".
Conclusion
The Halbstark week was more than just a break from the daily work routine - it was a time for us to reconnect, recharge our batteries and think together about the future of our team. We came away from the week with new ideas, stronger cohesion and a clear goal.
